Tuesday was actually a pretty trunky day though to be honest, haha. We went to the wedding of Liz and Isaias and it was the first civil marriage I've been to and it was super different, but it was really good. When we got back, Perú was playing Ecuador in fútbol (soccer) and there was NOBODY in the streets. It was actually super cool, like the entire country was watching the game. Our pensh wanted to take us out to eat that night too, to eat Chinese food, and the entire city was there, I swear! The game was on so we got to see part of it.. apostacy.. but.. we repented.
After that, the week went super uphill spiritually. We saw a super great miracle. We almost lost our cell phone in a convi (like a bus.) My companion had it in his pocket and it fell out. We get off the convi and my companion goes, “Hey you've got the phone right?” I thought he was playing a joke because he does that all the time.. he then goes, “No honestly, I don't have it!” We looked at each other, then we look at the convi 3 blocks down the road and I TAKE OFF! It turns the corner and I just keep hauling! I get to an intersection and almost get killed haha, but I wasn't feeling like paying for a new phone. I hit the corner and it's only a block away and I finally catch up, thanks to a speed bump. I ask the cobrador if there was a phone and he looks back then goes, "Is this it?" and holds up the phone. YUP! But yeah that was super awesome.
Apart from that, I just finished the Isaiah chapters in Nephi. I'm super hyped about that because that was HARD in Spanish!
On Thursday I went on an interchange with my boy, Elder Chiza, and we were laughing the whole day. He is so cool and funny. Not only that, we got 3 new investigators and worked hard the whole day. He's a complete stud.
After that, our pensh brought us out to eat again at this super rich restaurant and I got myself chicken alfredo.. they gave me a plate the size of the Grand Canyon but gave me my food the size of a leaf.. But! It was good haha.
Yesterday we had a super spiritual experience. We went to visit a less active who's wife isn't a member yet. His name is Lenin. We went last week and visited his wife, Lorena. She told us that they were having problems as una pareja (a couple). We went yesterday and nothing had changed. We only spoke with Lenin but talked about the attributes of Christ. At the end of the lesson my companion pulled out his scriptures to share something but it was obvious he wasn't sure what to share. He started flipping through his scriptures and I started praying HARD for direction for him. He then closes his scriptures, puts his finger between the pages and opens it… he opens straight to D&C 121:7-8 where Joseph Smith is in Carthage jail. (7 My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment; 8 And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes.) STRAIGHT direction of the spirit! It was PERFECT for the situation. After the scripture, we gave him a blessing of comfort. It was super spiritual and a great way to end the week! Ya pue. The week has been a killer. Happy 9-11, GOD BLESS AMERICA!

This one might be hard to see because it's far away, but those are little huts. Yup, people live there. They're like natives.
