This week has absolutely flown by! It's been a super good week with a bunch of citas (appointments) and great lessons. First off about the investigatores. We taught Yoselinda (20) Judith (24) and Jahir (15) this week. We found them 2 weeks ago and already put a fecha (baptism date) with them for the 4th of November. They couldn't come to church this last week because they went to Lima but promised to come the next week.
Later in the week we taught Liz and Isaias who are getting married TOMORROW and we are going to assist. Super hyped for them. They are so cool. We had a lesson with the sister and cousin of Liz who don't live there. It was a super cool moment because they aren't even members yet (their fecha is for the 3rd or 14th of October depending on Isaias`s work.) Isaias has already read to Alma 38! Super awesome couple and super hyped because they're already sharing the gospel.
Also we visited a less active who is re-activating. Her name is Hermana Carmen. She shared an experience of when she didn't have any money and was always wondering where food would come from, when one Sunday she came across the LDS church and thought she would enter because she needed God`s help. After church a women offered for her to come eat at her house and later in the week delivered her a taper of food. She says she remembers sharing the little food she had been given with her two daughters. She later talked to the missionaries and later was baptized but shared how the gospel changed her life. When she shared the story of when she had no food, I teared up and just realized, I have never in my life felt that moment of where food was going to come from next.. how blessed am I to have that. As we were saying goodbye, her 2 year old swore at me and bit me because she didn't want to shake my hand. A spiritual high, then getting swore at by a 2 year old.. yeah it was an interesting lesson haha.
The next day was great. We had our weekly planning, sippin' on mate. I later gave an interview to the baptism of Elder Luna and Elder Chiza. She was hilarious! She's 11 years old, and when we started the interview, she wanted to do Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who would give the prayer. She won. She then elected herself to say it haha. She then asked me if she could get baptized in black water.. I had no idea. After the interview, she told ME that she wanted ME to baptize her.. haha, I talked her into letting Elder Luna do it. She was hilarious.
Later I went on an interchange with Elder Luna and hit a JW with the 1,2. She asked why we don't call God Jehova and said we have to call God by a name so it must be Jehova. I was locked and loaded for that question! I hit her with a scripture in Isaiah that says "Jehova" and "Savior" in the same sentence and explained Jehova is Jesus in the Old Testament. I then asked if she called her own father by his first name, or if she called him "dad". She told me she called her dad "dad".. interesting. I then explained we only have 1 Heavenly Father so we have the privilage to direct him as Heavenly Father. I then hit her with a scripture in Romans, which is not in their bible, and explained more about the Book of Mormon and how it is the fullness of the gospel. She said the closing prayer and didn't say Jehova once! She said Heavenly Father the whole time! She then came to church on Sunday! YUP hit her with that 1,2 combo! I was super hyped about that.
Later that day, Elder Mori and I went over to celebrate my boy, Elder Walker's, birthday and ate real, good, burgers and a cake that his mom sent. Super great way to end that day.
On Saturday and Sunday we saw major miracles! We had absolutely ZERO new investigators up until Saturday. We found 4 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday, then last minute, literally at 9:05 p.m., we found 3 more! YUP! Saw the hand of the Lord majorly in those 2 days.
Sunday we found this one lady named Luz Maria but she said her name was "Light Mary" because that's her name in English. She was hilarious! My companion and I couldn't stop laughing! When her daughter's friend came over, she told him to sit down, but he wouldn't and then he said, "I just got off an 8 hour bus ride, don't worry about it." She then goes, "Oh yeah, that's fine! Wouldn't want to get HEMORRHOIDS." HAHAHA, she then made sure I knew what "hemorrhoides" was in English. I assured her I knew exactly what they were. She then cracked like 3 jokes that had my companion and I crying. Holy cow, it was a great way to end the week!
I sure am loving it here. Time is FLYING by and I can't stop it, but I'm taking every advantage I can. The gospel is true. Learn it, live it, love it. CHEEHOO! Les amo mucho! Have a great week.

Not a bad place. Pretty nice actually.
See the shower head set up? This is why you don't let your head touch the shower head....electrical shock. The water is heated electrically.
