Well.. the impossible happened. I’m just going to go straight for it because it surprised the heck out of me. Well… I’m not going to be in Huaraz anymore. My companion is going to train. He is a STUD! And I’m going to Palermo in Lanoria (in Trujillo about 15 minutes away from Moche.) I’m going with Elder Andrade.. I’m going to kill him this change (meaning Elder Andrade is ending his mission in six weeks and will be going home)… and I’m going as Zone Leader! Super hyped but super sad I’m not going to be here in Huaraz. BUT, all is well. I’m going to miss this place and the ward. NOT going to miss the food. And oh yeah.. I’m a grandpa!! (Meaning that he trained Elder Aldea and now Elder Aldea is going to train.) Elder Aldea is about to train as well!!! Anyway, that’s what’s going down this change. Sooo yeah, for this week, not too much happened. I also have to pack, so sorry up front for the short letter. I’m pretty stressed about packing though.. I might buy a little llama duffle bag today to fit my stuff in there. Also there won’t be pictures this week, I’m sorry.. the computer screwed up my memory card again. I’ll have to go buy a new memory card today as well, so that’s cool.. not too happy that this has happened so many times..
Remember how I told you about Raul? Yeah, we baptized him! First off he was in the hospital for 20 days.. When he went in, he had read until 2 Nephi 18… Heee read the WHOLE Book of Mormon!! Holy cow! He is the first person I know in my mission to have read the whole book. We felt super bad because he didn’t have the support of his family. Only his 10 year old son came and he has 8 kids. We got a text right before the baptism from him saying that “he was having an inconvenience and couldn’t come." We called him and talked him into coming and he was pretty nervous but we gave him a blessing of comfort and the baptism went smoothly. It turned out to be a really good baptism.
Also during this week I went on an interchange with my BOY Elder Walker, we mobbed! We were dying laughing all day long. He’s a bro, gonna miss that guy but I'll get to see him at consilio (leadership council).
Super cool moment as well this week - I didn’t have any energy any morning or night this week to workout and I wanted to workout so I prayed that Heavenly Father would help me have energy in the morning. I woke up like it was nothing! After working out, the thermos wasn’t working.. that was cool. I have never taken such a cold shower in my life! My head, after washing my hair, HURT from how cold the water was. But you already know I didn’t give a freak so I was dancing to keep warm in the shower haha. It was lit. That’s really what’s gone down this week.
Like 3 days ago our phone broke and also Elder Walker’s companion went home (he’s the ZL here) so he was with Elder Olsen and his companion. So for changes, we all went to his penshe’s house and made omelets and pancakes. That. Was. Lit. So changes were a bunch of fun.
I’m pretty dang tired and I’m about to be a LOT more tired as a Zone Leader.. especially because I have to take that bus ride again. I’ll be spending p-day packing because I leave tonight at 10:20 p.m. So yeah. Love you all! Super hyped about my new calling and I’ll keep you updated!
